School of the Wild

Tell us about School of the Wild

At School of the Wild, we run outdoor programmes for people- and planet-first businesses and organisations – to help their leaders and teams reconnect, think differently and work together better. Our leadership and team development programmes combine purposeful team building with meaningful team conversations about the future direction of a business or organisation. It’s all done outdoors around a campfire in woods and wild spaces in Sussex and the South Downs. The aim is to create space for conversations that change the way people work and live.

How does School of the Wild support conservation and our natural environment?

Through our ecological mission, we inspire positive action – not just for people but for the planet too. We are a climate positive workforce and plant trees for our own and all our client work in the UK and abroad through Ecologi. By bringing teams into woods and wild spaces in Sussex, and showing them how to connect with nature here, we are encouraging more connection to this place and this land..

How does School of the Wild promote sustainable activity/development in The Living Coast?

We believe that business as usual is no longer an option – businesses need a new story and a different, more connected relationship with nature. By bringing leaders and teams into the natural environment, we’re changing people’s mindsets, inspiring environmental awareness and helping them become more concerned, and to value the natural world more.

How do you help spread awareness of The Living Coast and its values you share?

We work with local wild sites and venues, we source locally-grown produce as much as we can, and we bring teams from organisations near and far to The Living Coast.
