Fancy a new adventure? Find wonderful walks and explore undiscovered gems

The Sussex Walks App has over 250 easy to follow routes. It’s really simple to use showing your position on the map as you walk. It uses your phone GPS to guide you and gives you the confidence to explore and enjoy new walks. So, if you are looking for your next walking adventure, download it from the Sussex Walks website, choose a walk and just follow the pointer.

Here are just a few examples of the walking routes you can explore within The Living Coast. The app is available for download via iPhone or Android app stores.

Malling Hill

There are several trails from Lewes to try including three routes around Malling Hill. These are hilly walks but there are several fantastic cafes and pubs in Lewes serving the towns very own Harveys ale 


Saddlescombe is a great spot for hilly walks with four suggested routes on the app. There is also a wonderful cafe offering dine in and takeaway. 

Ditchling Beacon

7 routes to explore on the app from short strolls to 9.25 mile challenges (pub included!). Stunning panoramic views across The Living Coast and beyond.


Home to one of England’s last standing traditional forges built in 1907, Glynde is a picture postcard village at the base of Mount Caburn. There are two walking routes one including the steep climb to the summit for breath taking views.

Devil’s Dyke

An area of outstanding natural beauty and part of the South Downs National Park. There are 6 routes to try in this area, including a gentler family-friendly option. 

Firle Beacon

Also part of the South Downs National Park this area offers spectacular views and some challenging ups and downs,
