City Nature Challenge – Wilding Waterhall BioBlitz

Community BioBlitz at Wilding Waterhall part of City Nature Challenge.

Join Ranger Paul, the Friends of Waterhall, people across the city and around the world for a wildlife-spotting extravaganza, as part of the annual ‘City Nature Challenge’.
The aim of the 90 minute ‘Bioblitz’ will be to spot, identify and record as many species as possible using the iNaturalist app.
Come along to help spot, photograph and identify loads of wildlife and/or have a go at recording species on a global database.
No targets. No pressure. It’ll be both fun and informative!
Please email Paul at paul.gorringe@brighton-hove.gov.uk if you’d like to attend. Don’t worry – all will be explained on the day!
Meet at Waterhall Clubhouse between 10:45am & 11am.
We will open the car park for this event. The main entrance is on Saddlescombe Rd, on the right about 300 metres past the Devils Dyke turn off after coming off the main Hove junction of the A27.
Bus: Breeze up to the Downs on the number 77 from town, which runs every 45 mins and stops nearby.
Pedestrian access best by going over the A27 footbridge by the Green Ridge windmill and up the track from the rugby club.
