Friends of Waterhall Volunteer Day
Brighton & Hove City Council is looking for volunteers to help us carry out practical conservation tasks on the second Saturday of each month and citizen science surveying throughout the year within the new Waterhall nature reserve. Tasks will include scrub clearance, wildflower planting and seeding, hedgerow planting, litter picking, stock fence construction and surveying for wildlife. There will also be a chance to join the City Parks Lookering programme to help with sheep, cattle and pony grazing on site.
This is an exciting time to get involved at Waterhall as the council has been awarded funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to rewild this former golf course. You can find out more about the project HERE.
If you’d like to join the Friends of Waterhall group, please email wildingwaterhall@brighton-hove.gov.uk to be added to the mailing list.
