May Woof Walk at Waterhall

Wilding Waterhall is a pioneering new project to rewild the ex-golf course to create a thriving natural Chalk Downland landscape to benefit both wildlife and local people.

Bring your four legged friends along and join our Rangers for a walk around site to learn more about what makes Chalk Grassland so special, our future plans and how you can help the incredible wildlife found at Waterhall. It’s also a great opportunity for you to ask our Rangers any questions you have about what’s coming up, how to get involved and why the project is so important.

Dogs on leads welcome!

Meet us at the old Golf Course clubhouse.

Please wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather.

The postcode listed in this event is inaccurate! It will take you to Saddlescombe Road but a link to the exact meeting point can be found by clicking HERE or use What3words reference ///shape.lamp.beard. The entrance to Waterhall is approximately 400m past the turn off to Devil’s Dyke if coming from the A27 Hove roundabouts.

Parking is free. Pedestrian access to site is easiest across the A27 footbridge from the Green Ridge Windmill to Waterhall Rugby Club then up the chalk track to the clubhouse.

This event is weather dependent. If there is extreme heat, rain or high winds then we’ll have to cancel the event and rearrange for another time. We will email you via the address you provide when signing up to this event to let you know if we need to cancel.

Wilding Waterhall is part of the wider Changing Chalk partnership project led by the National Trust and supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
