Join us for Homeward Bound Festival this October and sample the folk music and flavours, tales and traditions, natural riches and engineering ingenuity that have shaped life on this pebbly, chalk-cliffed stretch of shoreline.
Homeward Bound Festival takes place at various venues across The Living Coast and will showcase an array of activities and experiences relating to the cultural heritage of our coastline during the weekend of 2-3 Oct 2021.
Thanks to funding from Interreg, the augural event will be funded by the BioCultural Heritage Tourism Project and curated by local business Homeward Bound Shanties. One of four English and French UNESCO Biosphere Regions taking part in this pilot project, The Living Coast benefits from funding from the Interreg Channel region programme to develop tourism opportunities around natural and cultural resources while reducing environmental impact. In short, to celebrate and safeguard heritage and the environment while connecting people and nature.
We welcome businesses, individuals, charities and community groups who want to get involved. If your idea relates to the rich and diverse cultural heritage of The Living Coast, we’d love to hear from you here!
