Climate change and sustainability strategy consultation open to Lewes residents

Lewes District Council has launched a consultation on its Climate Change and Sustainability Strategy. The Strategy will contain key actions and milestones that the Council will need to deliver to reach its target of net zero carbon by 2030. Their 7 action areas are:

  • Energy and the Built Environment
  • Sustainable Travel and Air Quality
  • Biodiversity
  • Agriculture and Food
  • Reducing Emissions from Waste
  • Water
  • Circular Economy and Community Wealth

The council is inviting residents to take part by reading their Framework Strategy and completing a survey by 5pm on 2 November 2020.
