Discovering Treasure Below

by Sarah Ryman Spotlight on

Eileen (pictured) and Lynette Slight (photographer) are members of Brighton Sea Swimmers who captured a fascinating recent swim below the surface of The Living Coast and have shared their photos.

Hold your breath and dive beneath the surface...

Eileen is an underwater hockey player so has an amazing ability to dive deep and for long periods of time.

This treasure hunt explored the old sunken barge at the end of Brighton pier.

As well as some friendly sea creatures they discovered some old Victorian coins which sometimes get unearthed when the silt shifts.

Brighton Sea Swimmers is the oldest swimming club in England and they swim every day, weather permitting.
