Lou Chapelle: Voicing Silence – Family/intergenerational workshop
Family/intergenerational workshop to explore feelings surrounding biodiversity loss, and the power of individual and collective action.
Join artist Lou Chapelle for a creative intergenerational workshop and a private view of her collaborative holographic video piece ‘Voicing Silence’ created with University of Leeds, Manchester Museum, and Corridor8.
You’ll be invited to play with poetry, stop motion and collages to give forms to the complex emotions associated with the current environmental crisis and how it is affecting us all, from animals, insects, and plants species, near home and far away.
As well as expressing feelings of grief, sadness or anger, we’ll look at how these emotions can fuel action and we’ll aim to turn them into collective creative power!
This workshop will be suitable for all ages from 7 years upwards (younger siblings also welcome).
