Growing New Roots – taster session

Growing New Roots group, an 8-week wellbeing in nature group based at Truleigh Hill on the South Downs.

The free 8-week group includes a range of therapeutic outdoor activities designed to improve mental well-being, such as guided walks on beautiful chalk grassland, archaeology, mindfulness, learning traditional fire lighting skills, natural crafts and conservation. The group is for adults in the Portslade-Southwick-Shoreham-Lancing-Worthing area who would most benefit from time in nature e.g. those living with depression, anxiety, stress or another mental health diagnosis.

• Free minibus transport from Shoreham.
• Applicants are initially invited to attend a taster session on 12th May 2023, 10.30am-2.30pm.
• After attending the taster, you can then apply to join the 8-week group Friday 19th May – Friday 7th July 2023, 10.30am – 2.30pm.
• We accept both professional and self-referrals, apply now. Applicants must be available for the full 8 weeks.
